Gresham-backed James Grant Group Completes Seven Acquisitions Within Two Years

Gresham, the UK mid-market private equity specialist, today announces that James Grant Group (“JGG”) has acquired two companies: Manchester-based accountancy practice S Crowther & Co. and Islington-based media PR specialists Franklin Rae Communications. These acquisitions are the sixth and seventh completed by JGG since Gresham Private Equity backed its management buyout in August 2009.

JGG is a leading provider of management and professional services to clients within the media, sports and entertainment sectors. JGG’s footprint now spans brand consultancy, digital, IP development and exploitation, talent management, live events, media and sports finance, accountancy and voiceover services.

Franklin Rae is an award-winning specialist media and entertainment PR agency with an international client base. It represents businesses from across the media spectrum including content creators, new media companies, broadcast technology specialists, licensors, broadcasters, distributors, advertising agencies, publishers and professional service providers. Franklin Rae will retain its current name and branding.

S Crowther & Co is an accountancy practice with a highly regarded client base. It now becomes part of OJK Ltd, the professional services arm of JGG, which provides accounting, taxation and royalty examination services to clients within the music, sports and broadcast media industries.
