Minivator wins Gold Award for Innovation

And grows apprenticeship programme with seven new recruits



Minivator, the country’s second largest supplier of stairlifts, bathlifts and platforms has been awarded the gold award for Innovation in the highly competitive Medilink West Midlands Medical Technology Awards.

Judges praised the company for its investment in innovation as well as its clear strategy to develop unique, market-leading technologies and designs. Minivator was also short listed in the category for Export.

Furthermore, Minivator has recently employed seven new apprentices within the Field Service Engineers department and are committed to increase this number to 15 within the coming year.

Mike Lord, Chief Executive of Minivator said: “Both our innovation award and the success of our apprenticeship programme are tantamount to our intensified focus on providing exceptional customer service and end user satisfaction. This is at the heart of our company ethos and following on from our Business Growth and Innovation award at the Black Country Awards last year, we are delighted to be recognised for our achievements.”

Minivator provide bespoke stairlift and access solution products to the disabled and less able population in the UK and overseas. Gresham backed the management buy-out in 2004. The business has continued to grow at an exceptional rate. Employee numbers have grown seven- fold.
