New senior investment Partner

Gresham, the mid market private equity firm, has appointed Anthony Bull as a Partner in its investment team. The appointment is effective as of 21st September 2009. He will be based in London.

Anthony joins from Mitsui Private Equity where he is Principal. He is a highly experienced Private Equity professional having spent 10 years at 3i and LDC prior to joining Mitsui. He has a successful track record of investing in the mid-market in a wide range of businesses including Microlease, the European leader in the rental of test and measurement equipment to the telecommunications sector, and Airclaims, the aviation loss adjustor

The appointment highlights Gresham’s commitment to building on its highly experienced investment team. The news comes off the back of a successful August for Gresham which recently backed the management buy-out of five businesses from Formation Plc to create James Grant Group Ltd. These businesses are leading providers of management and professional services to the sports, music and entertainment sectors. The investment was 100% funded by Gresham using its debt underwriting product.
