Gresham appoints new investment partner

Gresham, the mid market private equity firm, today announces the appointment of Dan Hatcher as a partner in its investment team. He will be based in London.

Dan has been working with Gresham on secondment from Ernst & Young since May 2007. He was part of the deal team who worked on the secondary buy-out of Betts Global, the market leader in manufacturing laminate toothpaste tubes, in October 2007.

Prior to the secondment he was as a key member of the mergers and acquisitions lead advisory team at Ernst & Young for six years. He has also worked in transaction support and corporate restructuring.

Whilst at Ernst and Young, he worked on a number of mid-market transactions in the industrialproducts and environmental sectors, including the sale of GE Commercial Aviation Training to Star Capital, advising management on the sale of Cory Environmental and the acquisition of Aspen Pumps by Inflexion Private Equity. He was also part of the deal team which advised Gresham on the acquisition of hydraulic components supplier Olaer in September 2005.
